Knitted Mesh
Knitted mesh is a type of wire or synthetic fiber mesh made by interlocking loops of material, similar to how fabric is knitted. Unlike woven or welded mesh, knitted mesh has excellent flexibility and elasticity, making it highly suitable for applications that require stretching, shaping, or cushioning.
It is commonly made from stainless steel, copper, nickel, or synthetic fibers like polypropylene, PTFE. Depending on the material and weave density, knitted mesh can be soft and compressible or strong and rigid.

Key Features & Benefits
- High Flexibility: The looped structure allows the mesh to stretch, compress, and recover its shape.
- Good Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Lightweight yet strong enough for industrial uses.
- Corrosion & Heat Resistance: When made from metals like stainless steel or copper.
- Excellent Filtering & Shielding Properties: Ideal for air, gas, and liquid filtration, as well as EMI/RFI shielding.
Common Applications
- Filtration: Air, oil, gas, and liquid filters in automotive, aerospace, and industrial equipment.
- EMI/RFI Shielding: In electronics to block electromagnetic interference.
- Vibration & Noise Dampening: In automotive parts and industrial machinery.
- Demisters & Separators: Used in mist eliminators to remove fine droplets from gas streams.
- Seals & Gaskets: Compressible mesh is used for sealing or cushioning in mechanical systems.
- Catalyst Support: In chemical processing as a support for catalyst materials.
Material Options
- Stainless Steel: High durability, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance. (e.g. SS304/L, SS316/L)
- Nickel Alloy: Excellent resistance to extreme heat, corrosion, and harsh chemicals. (e.g. Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy)
- Copper & Copper-Nickel: Good electrical and thermal conductivity, decent corrosion resistance. (e.g. Pure Copper, CuNi 70/30 or 90/10)
- Synthetic Fibers: For Low-temperature or chemically aggressive environments where metals would degrade. (e.g., PP, PTFE)
